Walter Wodchis Profile
Walter Wodchis, PhD, MAE, MA
Dr. Wodchis earned his doctorate in Health Services Organization and Policy (Health Economics), and a Masters of Applied Economics from the University of Michigan. He also has a Masters of Arts in Gerontology and a Bachelor of Math in Actuarial Science from the University of Waterloo. Dr. Wodchis' focus is healthcare finance and economics. His research has focused on quality of life assessment, cost and quality and payment incentives in health care. Dr. Wodchis' current research projects include determinants of quality in long-term care, system and provider performance measurement and examining the relationship between efficiency and quality. He is a CIHR New Investigator for his research on strategic investments in quality Dr. Wodchis is also a Research Scientist at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute and an Adjunct Scientist at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences.
