Wendong Chen, MD, PhD

Dr. Wendong Chen is an assistant professor in the Division of Clinical, Social and Administrative Pharmacy, Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto. Dr. Chen obtained his MD from Peking University and his PhD in health outcomes and health economics from the department of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, University of Toronto. Dr. Chen's main research interest is to develop disease natural history models, which can be used to estimate disease burden and assess health technologies, programs, and polices. Dr. Chen is currently funded by the Canadian Liver Foundation to estimate the disease burden of chronic hepatitis C in Canada using large health administrative databases.
