Scientist, Clinical Epidemiologist
Current Position and Professional Functions
Dr. Abrahamyan is a clinical epidemiologist at THETA. She is an invited lecturer for the course in Community Dentistry at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto and is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the American University of Armenia, supervising Master of Public Health (MPH) students.

Education and Training
Dr. Abrahamyan received her medical degree from the Yerevan State Medical University and residency training in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at the National Institute of Health in Yerevan, Armenia. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from the American University of Armenia and a PhD degree from the University of Toronto.

Research Interests and Expertise
Dr. Abrahamyan’s current research interests include health services outcomes research and evaluation, designs of clinical trials, health care quality and quality indicators, cardiovascular health, applications of statistical methods in clinical epidemiology, and health technology assessment.
